New floristry firm launches in time for Mother's Day - The Northern Echo

Offering a range of beautiful hand-tied bouquets available in a range of styles and sizes, shoppers can request arrangements using flowers of their choice or ask the florist for recommendations. Based from her home at Dalton, near Richmond, Sword Blooms is independently ran by Emma Sword. Raised on a farm near Gainford, when leaving Barnard Castle School Ms Sword trained as a florist, and then embarked on a 13-year career in the care sector. This winter, she left the care industry at director level to follow her passion for flowers and create Sword Blooms, based from an outbuilding at her home. She said: “I have always loved floristry, it's been an ongoing hobby for many years, during the pandemic to lift the spirits of family and friends I began creating arrangements for those nearby.
