Floral Arrangements Placed Along Sunset are Gift to WeHo from the Soon-to-Open Pendry Hotel - WEHOvilleWednesday, March 31, 2021
Eric Buterbaugh with his floral arrangement in front of Fred Segal on Sunset near La CienegaRenowned floral designer Eric Buterbaugh is the mastermind behind each of the arrangements. The florist-to-the-stars told WEHOville that he gave special care to create an arrangement appropriate for each location.“I always check out the surrounding elements for inspiration,” said Buterbaugh. “For example, I thought it’d be fun to incorporate pink pampasin front of Pink Dot. I was inspired by the yellow building at the Sunset Plaza sign so we incorporated stunning yellow forsythia, yellow acacia, yellow lipstick pincushion protea and lots of soft pinks for an opulent, springtime vibe. We are using vibrant colors for the installation in front of Fred Segal to play off the use of colors in the Fred Segal logo.”Floral arrangement in front of the new Pendry Hotel at 8430 Sunset Blvd. at Olive DriveButerbaugh is excited to have created these special arrangements because stunning florals are something he associates with West Hollywood.“When I think of West Hollywood, I think of glamour, beauty and style which are the same adjectives that I associate with flowers,” said Buterbaugh. 0 0 voteArticle Rating/div... https://wehoville.com/2021/03/28/floral-arrangements-placed-along-sunset-are-gift-to-weho-from-the-soon-to-open-pendry-hotel/

7 Important Things to Consider Before Ordering Flowers Online - Hurricane Valley TimesWednesday, March 31, 2021
Delivery AreaEven though online florists provide an extremely accessible flower buying experience, not every florist can ensure delivery to every single part of the US. For example, if you or your giftee live in a more isolated part of the country, like in a remote area or a rural location, florists can’t guarantee that your flowers can be delivered in the best condition. Not all florists have the same exact shipping capabilities. Some can deliver to more addresses than others, so it’s important to look at more than one online store. Before you officially place your order, be sure to confirm that the provider you want can actually send it over to your target address.2. Delivery SpeedGift giving is certainly no easy task. That’s why flowers always come in as the most reliable solution anytime you’re stuck on what to do. They make for an easy grab on a quick trip to your local florist or supermarket. However, the situation might be a little different for ordering online. That’s because not all websites can provide fast last-minute flower deliveries. If you’re running out of time and need your bouquet to be shipped as soon as possible, ensure that your selected vendor can do same-day or next-day delivery.3. Professional AffiliationThere are plenty of florists that are involved with a floral wire service such as FTD, Teleflora, and several others. These wire services are essentially established companies that work at the center of all the order exchanges and fulfillment between local florists and third-party sale agents.Additionally, many other vendors are also affiliated with other industry groups and trade organizations, such as The Society of American Florists. When it comes to picking out a vendor, it’s in your best interest to rank those that professionally affiliate with these floral wire services, groups, and organizations higher. That’s because they can signify a commitment to the craft, a level of professionalism, and heightened credibility.4. Payment OptionsNowadays, there are far more options to pay for gifts than cash alone. That’s especially true for online purchases. While you can always use the most popular method of using a credit card to pay for your flowers, some flower delivery services have actually expanded the number of payment methods they can accept. How about that for inclusivity and convenience? If you’d rather pay with PayPal, Bitcoin, or in whatever alternative way you prefer, you can scout out some of the flower vendors that can accommodate you the best.5. PricingWithout a doubt, pricing should be one of the top factors to consider when ordering flowers on the web. That’s where you may need to step in with a little research, because not every flower vendor will offer the same prices. Some may be conveniently cheaper than others, but never sacrifice good quality for a low bargain. 'It's up in the air': Louisville-area florists hustle ahead of a pandemic Valentine's Day - Courier JournalWednesday, March 31, 2021
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Valentine's Day hustle at Susan's Florist gets started well before the calendar turns to February.Myriad roses need to be ordered for the storefront at 2731 Preston Highway. Grids have to be taped on top of colorful vases to hold up flowers during transportation. And, of course, flowers must be arranged in said vases for the special occasion. And though this year's Valentine Day is anomalous for multiple reasons — it's on a Sunday, a non-workday for many, and in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic — the 73-year-old flower shop is ready to do what it has done for nearly a year now: stay nimble and make special deliveries for its many customers. But like other holidays, COVID-19 continues to throw a wrench in everyone's plans."We really don't know what to expect," said Jessie Smith, lead designer for Susan's Florist. "We're just kind of rolling with the punches."As with businesses nationwide, the deadly coronavirus pandemic has impacted Louisville-area florists. On one hand, workers now suddenly... https://www.courier-journal.com/story/news/local/2021/02/11/valentines-day-2021-louisville-area-florists-hustle-amid-pandemic/4435860001/
