Marye Anne Monroe Sibold - The Chattanoogan
Sunday, February 28, 2021She is survived by a brother, Dunward B. Monroe (Brenda); sister, Carol Monroe, sister-in-law, Beverly Monroe; sons, Samuel Garst Sibold (Jessica), Ward Monroe Sibold (Amy), Joseph Bradford Sibold; daughters, Elizabeth Stoops Sibold, and Lara Ellen Sibold; grandchildren, McKenna, Mason, Isabella, and Spencer Sibold; nephews, Eddie Monroe (Cristy), Scott Monroe (Cindy), Stephen Monroe (Ann), an uncle, Robert Monroe (Sue) and several cousins, grand nephews and nieces, as well as extended family: Troy Potter; Paige, Dakota and Wade Freed; Elizabeth and Joseph Hoang. Mom's serving and caring nature led her to Baroness Erlanger Nursing program after high school where she became an LPN, spending most of her career as a surgical scrub nurse and a home health care nurse. Mom also spent her life with passion for music and theater. From City High school chorus and plays, to the Signal Mountain Glee club and First Presbyterian Church choir, mom kept music in her heart and instilled the appreciation in her children. She admitted to being a sinner saved by grace to which fostered in us the trueness of Christ, believing that Grace is not something you earn. "For By Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is a gift of God; not as a result of works" from Ephesians 2:8-9. Mom's greatest joys in life were her family members and without fail, showing us that she loved us and not just saying it. She was always selfless and self sacrificing, especially for her children of whom she was so proud. Anyone who crossed her path could instantly recognize her fullness of love and a magnificent sense of humor. Her ability to forgive others is unmatched; yet another trait that was second nature and a personal reflection of Christ. We have no doubts mom is with her Lord and telling Him about he... https://www.chattanoogan.com/2021/2/28/424095/Marye-Anne-Monroe-Sibold.aspx

Florist Makes Happiness Bloom In Trumbull With Petal It Forward Bouquets - Trumbull-Monroe Daily Voice
Tuesday, November 01, 2016Wow. It’s beautiful,” said Farkas, once Raeann McLaren explained why she came up to him with an armload of blooms. “I’m going to give them to my honey.”Palazzo’s future in-laws, Debbie and Wayne Bradford who live in Great Britain and happened to be in town visiting, said they were happy to join in on the positive project.“I think they told me someone did this in New York last year,” said Debbie Bradford. “It’s great.”Nicole’s father, Bob Palazzo, said he started loading the flowers to be given away at about 6:30 a.m. The group planned to visit sites in Shelton, Stratford, Trumbull, Fairfield and Bridgeport throughout the morning and into the afternoon until all the bouquets — featuring roses, lilies and season garden mixes — were gone. Many see Pay It Forward Week as a time to secretly pay for the coffee of a stranger in the next car at a drive-through or buy a cookie for a fellow diner at a restaurant. As a florist, Palazzo said she believes Petal It Forward gives people a lasting gift of happiness. In fact, the Petal It Forward program at City Line is in partnership with the Society of American Florists, a national trade association. According to Palazzo, Petal It Forward is a response to new research showing the emotional benefits of flowers.“We see the positive impact day in and day out when we make our flower deliveries,” she said of City Line, which has been around since 1918. “People love to get flowers ‘just because.’”Her future sister-in-law, Georgia Bradford, said she enjoyed the confused looks on recipients’ faces.“Nothing’s free anymore, is it?” she said.“Nothing but the air,” said her dad. http://trumbull.dailyvoice.com/neighbors/florist-makes-happiness-bloom-in-trumbull-with-petal-it-forward-bouquets/686275/

Contactless flower delivery ensuring Mother's Day smiles despite outbreak - The Courier
Friday, May 29, 2020Geneva Curren. Curren has a past with flower shops in Washington D.C., New York City, and operating three shops across Arkansas and Chicago. Her knowledge of flowers stems from her childhood in visiting her family in the South where she would spend hours and hours picking wildflowers. While the company’s main objective of creating designs that inspire and bring joy to the recipients, the employees are trained to help with selecting the best flowers for you. Under this circumstance, Curren said, “Working as a florist has been wonderful, challenging, exhausting, inspiring, hectic, fun, maddening, and fantastic!” Orders as of right now are piling in for Curren and her staff, causing everyone to feel overwhelmed. As it is described as part of the job as a florist, understanding customers mean well and only want to stay local. With a minimum of $75 for fresh arrangements and $40 for plant deliveries, Halsted Flowers plans to make multiple rounds a day for their customers. Even though hours of operation are limited each day, the employees are finding themselves working around the clock in order to finish their customer’s requests. Delivery drivers are out until late in the night and up early in the morning to make their rounds and to clear out the shop to make room for more orders. Close cousins, the pink dogwoods are also beginning their blooming cycle.Different varieties of flowering trees, including the Japanese pear, with its white petals, will soon begin to bear fruit. The Asian or Japanese pear is a cross between pear and apple trees. The fruit looks more like an apple than a pear. Also scattered around Northwest Arkansas is an assortment of different types of apple and cherry trees, in full bloom with white and pink flowers showing off nature's beauty.Another tree with colorful blooms is the eastern redbud, the state tree of Oklahoma, with its reddish-violet flowers, showcased in downtown Decatur around the depot and log cabin area, as well as in many places in Gravette, Gentry and the surrounding area.Take a little time with the family to explore the beauty that spring... https://www.eagleobserver.com/news/2020/apr/01/flowering-trees-in-full-bloom-20200401/
