Florist jailed - Milford Mercury

Tuesday, April 16, 2019

A florist has been jailed after failing to keep in contact with the probation service. Eric Evans, also known as Reuben O’Dell, of Stratford Street, Milford Haven, appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday, April 9. He admitted failing to comply with a suspended sentence order made by the court in November 2016. Julie Norman of the probation service told the court that Evans, 31, had previously been sentenced to 16 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, following a conviction for driving while disqualified and without insurance in November 2016. The court heard that a warrant was issued for Evans’ arrest when he failed to keep in contact with his supervising officer. Mrs Norman added that Evans’ whereabouts had been unknown for 17 months. Jonathan Webb, defending, said Evans had kept to the order until the end of August 2017, despite a period of being homeless, and had not ‘gone to ground’ as suggested. “He has been in Milford Haven and the surrounding area throughout the whole time. “He has turned his life around substantially. He has stayed out of trouble and started his own business, a florist shop in Haki... https://www.milfordmercury.co.uk/news/17571268.florist-jailed/

Woodman 109 years ago. Woodman’s is relocating to that location, Rodney C. Woodman’s Florist on Nashua Street in Milford, at least temporarily as of Feb. 1, Palmer and Deasy said in a letter to customers.“Rodney C. Woodman started his flower business in Milford in 1910 and it is still owned by a 3rd generation family member. We think he would be very proud and excited, to know that the service his business has provided will continue on,” the letter reads. “The Milford location will be delivering to the following locations on a daily basis: Peterborough, Temple, Sharon, New Ipswich, Greenville, Greenfield, and Francestown. There will be limited service to Dublin and Hancock.”While customers will not be able to ... https://www.ledgertranscript.com/Woodman-s-Florist-closes-Peterborough-location-22763813

GTPulse: Create Your Own Designer Floral Arrangements at Home With Floral Underground - 9&10 News

Wednesday, December 11, 2019

When Derek graduated he moved to Traverse City, Michigan and finished school at Northwestern Michigan College.“When I moved here I had a job lined up as a florist. It was Hibbard’s Flowers which used to be downtown. From there I worked for Weaver’s Flowers and Distinctive Flowers and then I started my own business.”Derek’s business, Floral Underground, is mostly lifestyle based, meaning that the business is mostly focused on providing flowers for people who home make or are using the flowers to enhance their interior. “It’s not so much about a funeral, I want them around me because this is how I live my life.”He provides flowers to some local businesses, but Floral Underground does the bulk of it’s business in subscription boxes that go beyond Northern Michigan. The boxes are curated by Derek depending on the season and new trends in floral design. He assembles boxes with everything his subscribers need to make an arrangement at home. He then shoots a video tutorial on how to assemble and design the arrangement for subscribers to follow.“It’s lifestyle floral. My client is the recreational floral designer. Because I’m a floral educator I want that to carry through on my product.”The boxes contain the flowers, a vase, a flower grid to help place flowers, plant nutrients, and finishing spray. The vases are from 46 & Spruce and are nice keepsakes of their own. If you would like to keep flowers regularly in your home with the added benefit of supplies and guidance, check out Floral Underground. If you would like to see Derek in action, he’ll be doing a demonstration at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home for their holiday open house on December 14th. “There’s music, there’s food, they can tour the home. Peg Jonkhoff has me come in and do a live floral demonstration. I’m doing DIY centerpieces three ways is the theme. One will be a plant-based or terrarium based centerpiece for Christmas, one will be foam-free and one will be more traditional.”Put some new life in your home with Floral Underground. You might be surprised how much joy having flowers in your home brings. a href="https://blo... https://www.9and10news.com/2019/12/05/gtpulse-create-your-own-designer-floral-arrangements-at-home-with-floral-underground/

Of course we know that this is just a figure, and that he lives above, but without this we could have never had Christmas,” Gore said. For the hours and location you can reach Gore at by phone at (910) 640-8701 or (910) 653-2653. https://www.wwaytv3.com/2019/11/27/florist-opens-nativity-and-christmas-expo-after-recovering-from-major-storm-damage/
