And, with the upcoming wedding date of Feb. 14, they launched into a frenzy of event planning. Daniel and Andi also were preparing for an obstacle-course-style Spartan Race on Feb. 9 in Phoenix, making life doubly hectic. Crunch Fitness, meanwhile, started rounding up businesses to donate catering or services for the wedding. Food was provided by Lorenzo's, St. Clair Winery, Santa Fe Grill and Roberto's. Gigachip Photography took the photos. The cake and DJ services were also donated. Andi and Daniel's family chipped in, too. Her mom bought the dress. His step-dad paid for the tuxedos, and his aunt created the table centerpieces. Their counselor bought Andi's bouquet. Cross of Christ Church loaned some chairs. "It was really not a lot of out-of-pocket stuff for us," he said. The big day On their wedding day, Daniel said he spent a lot of time setting up for the event and felt "completely overwhelmed." Andi said she was excited, and while driving to the gym, she realized she forgot her ring. She had to borrow one of her mom's as a stand-in. "I almost forgot my bouquet," she said with a smile. Fortunately, she remembered the flowers at the last minute, picking them up... https://www.elpasotimes.com/story/news/2019/03/04/wedding-gym-las-cruces-nm-couple-married-crunch-fitness/3055027002/
Brighton florist achieves title of certified designer - AdVantageNEWS.comThursday, May 02, 2019
Internationally recognized floral industry professionals evaluated these advanced designs. Muenstermann is one of only five florists in Illinois to earn this accreditation.
She earned her title of Illinois certified professional florist during last year’s annual floral design show. She is one of 58 florists in the state to earn this distinction. She is working toward her national certified floral designer accreditation through the internationally recognized American Institute of Floral Designers.
To maintain the Illinois certified designer accreditation, the designer must continue to accumulate continuing education credits each year and maintain his or her membership in the ISFA and ICPF program.
This program is designed to give ICPF graduates the opportunity to develop and broaden their knowledge of the floral industry and enhance the professionalism of Illinois florists.
Leanne and her husband, Bruce, own Leanne’s Pretty Petals in Brighton. They are a full-service florist serving Brighton, Alton, Godfrey, Jerseyville, Bethalto, Medora, Shipman, Piasa and Bunker Hill. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Illinois State Floral Association.

A little bit of the tropics comes to Moraga - LamorindaweeklyThursday, May 02, 2019
Ow, a 15-year member of the Lafayette Garden Club, has taken over the 49-year-old helm of her family-owned florist shop. If any proof was needed to confirm her skills as a master florist, Ow's creations have been featured in the de Young Museum's prestigious Bouquets to Art exhibit for 20 years. This year's museum exhibition marks the 35th anniversary, and according to the DeYoung it's "one of the Museum's most popular events." It's a "weeklong display of floral designs inspired by the works of art in the de Young's galleries." Explained Ow, "I didn't initially want to do the Bouquets to Art, because I'd have to drive into San Francisco every day to replenish the flowers." This year's displays feature the arrangements of 150 designers. Ow's assignment this year is to florally replicate painter Frederic Edwin Church's masterpiece "Rainy Season in the Tropics." "There are no awards or prizes," Ow said. "It's the thrill of being part of the event." During the luncheon, Ow recreated several of her previous Bouquets to Art entries which her daughter, Jacqueline Ow, compared with copies of the original works of art. When asked how a florist is chosen as a designer for the special exhibit, Ow informed the awestruck assemblage, "They go through your portfolio and visit your shop to make sure that you are equipped to handle the assignment and that your creations won't disappoint the patrons." To see Ow's upcoming creation, visit the Bouquets to Art exhibit at The de Young Museum, June 4-9. Advance tickets are strongly recommended.
