We Asked Experts To Identify Every Flower Vagina In Zayn's 'Pillowtalk' Video - Elite Daily (blog)Friday, January 29, 2016
Zayn-themed Golden Corral.Using the help of Mark Allen Wetter, senior academic curator and collections manager in the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s department of botany, and florist Alberto (no last name, like Zendaya), who runs Blooming Affairs Floral & Event Design (everyone go check out his Yelp page), I was able to get the skinny on Zayn’s floral choices for the “PILLOWTALK” video.1. Zayn’s Vagina Flowers: Part One “It is an Oriental poppy (Papaver).” – Mark Allen Wetter“The image is very distorted. It could be a cactus, though, with some flower pedals off the side.” – Alberto2. Zayn’s Vagina Flowers: Part Two“Maybe a lily or an orchid. They all come in different colors. It is big enough to cover ‘her,’ so I’d definitely say lily.” – Alberto3. These are just like regular flowers — oddly normcore for this mess of a video.“It’s a mixture of at least two different flowers: The flowers with the big fat petals (main pink flower and the one to the left of it) are peonies (Paeonia), and the flowers with small strap-like petals are either mums (Chrysanthemum) or Gerbera (Gerbera) daisies. Both of these two are in the same plant family, and without seeing the leaves, it is not easy to tell them apart. There may actually be at least one other type of flower in the image — it’s hard to tell from the image.” – Mark Allen Wetter4. THERE WE GO! BACK TO WEIRD STUFF! “It is so stylized that it may just be a computer graphic; if a flower, it could possibly be a parrot feathers tulip (Tulpia), but a positive ID is impossible.” – Mark Allen Wetter“Probably some sort of orchid.” – AlbertoAt the end of the day, the most important thing is we recruited a new Zayn Malik fan.Eitan and Alberto watching Zayn. Sharing a moment.“This is actually a kind of good video.” – AlbertoSubscribe to Elite Daily’s official newsletter, The Edge, for more stories you don’t want to miss. http://elitedaily.com/entertainment/botany-florist-flower-zayn-pillowtalk-video/1366204/
Frank Kreutzer, florist for 47 years, trades roses for retirement - WCPOWednesday, March 14, 2018
NEWPORT, Ky. - It's the end of the line at Kreutzer & Dorl Florist. After more than 65 years, the family-owned busiess is closing its doors for good. The owner, 73-year-old Frank Kreutzer, says he's trading in roses for retirement. Kreutzer has been working six days a week for the past 47 years."My parents started it in 1953. I grew up in it,” Kreutzer said. He's seen the highs and lows."I have a lady who was a customer for 50 years. Customer for my parents. She did all her daughter's weddings." But times have changed, he said."When you think about it and look around, you don't see many of them any more. There's just not a lot of floral shops here," he noted.Kreutzer said he's no match for big businesses like amazon. And it's a shame. He says local businesses provide an opportunity to know your community. "I think that's what's missing when you get them from a mass marketer - that's just shipping them in a box,” he said. “That's all it is. Flowers shipped in a box. I think the end of an era is coming from that standpoin...
Local florist beats breast cancer, opens own floral shop after being fired - Fox 4Wednesday, March 14, 2018
FORT MYERS, Fla. - For local florist Renee Mason, Valentine's day is one of the busiest days of the year. At her store, The Petal Patch Flower Shop, she was finishing orders until two in the morning and returned to open her shop for Valentine's day just a few hours later. She's been busy, but she says it's a good kind of busy compared to last year around the same time."We had to stop taking deliveries today because I had so many", she told Four In Your Corner. When Fox 4 stopped by Renee's shop, she was putting together bouquets for last minute Valentine's Day orders. But this time last year, she was in a completely different space. Mason had just been let go from her job at another flower shop. She says she was told her treatment schedule was hurting their bottom line. At the time, she had a grueling chemotherapy schedule and was in the middle of battling breast cancer. "My first thought was, 'oh my God! What am I gonna do? How am I gonna pay my bill? I'm going into treatment!'".Thankfully, Mason ha...
